Troubleshooting tips on using the Galvanic Spa 2
Here is some troubleshooting advice. After opening the Galvanic Spa kit, some people forget to remove the thin plastic film that protects the conductors on the sides of the instrument. There has to be an electrical circuit in order for the ions to flow, so remove the plastic film. When giving a Spa demo to a customer, remember to make contact with the hand or scalp line in order to complete the conduction path. Usually you will be holding the Spa in the right and then making contact with your left hand on the client. Make sure that you are using the proper charge setting for the gel. Remember that like charges repel, so that the gel charge should both be the same as the Galvanic Spa. The negative charge is the one fountain setting in the display. The positive charge is the two fountain setting. Make sure that the hand holding the Spa is moistened beforehand to get good conduction. Don’t use the Galvanic Spa with gels that are uncharged. Use the flat of the metal conductor for better contact with the skin. Use the tip or edge of the conductor when coming down the face so as not to pull the skin too much while still maintaining contact with the skin. Some woman are left-handed and wear their metal wedding ring on that hand also. Make sure that they don’t make ring contact with the metal plate of the Spa. A hollow tube of styrofoam or cloth can be used to cover the ring. Otherwise the customer will receive a slight unpleasant electrical sensation. If the customer is changing the conductor, make sure that the conductor top is not backward. If the Spa has been used for many demos, then think about changing the batteries in order to avoid an awkward surprise when you go to do another treatment. I use rechargeable batteries that can be charged up using the AC adapter holding up to eight batteries. Carry a few extra batteries in the case just in case. ->
